Spent $1,200 on a coding bootcamp in Austin and it got me a job in 5 months

I know bootcamps get a bad rap on here but this one worked out for me. It was a 12 week full stack program that cost $1,200 upfront, way cheaper than the big name ones that want $15k. The main thing that saved me was the career coach who made us do mock interviews every single week until we hated her. I sent out 87 applications and got 3 callbacks, which sounds awful but one of those turned into my current job at a small shop in Round Rock. My advice is avoid the bootcamps that promise job placement because none of them can actually promise that. Has anyone else done a cheap local program instead of the big expensive ones, and how did it go for you?
