Chat with an old electrician in Akron made me rethink my resume

Tbh I always thought resumes were just a list of tasks, but this guy told me he hires based on stories, not duties. He said, "Show me the time you fixed a mess, not the tools you own," and that hit different because I've been burying my best moments in bullet points. Has anyone else switched from listing to storytelling and seen actual callbacks?

Stories sound good until you need to find a specific skill fast. I'd say keep the bullets but add one short story on top, that gets you both worlds.
