An electrician's comment made me rethink my seaming technique
Last Thursday I was working a job in a hotel hallway and the electrician wiring the cove lighting watched me seam a 12 footer. He said it looked like I was fighting the carpet instead of letting the knife ride the backing, and it clicked because I've been forcing cuts for 7 years. Anybody else get a tip from a non-carpet trade that changed how they lay?
