Dropped $340 on a used Kool Glide seam iron and it paid for itself on one job
I was fighting every seam with a cheap heat bond iron and burning through seam tape at a crazy rate, so I took a chance on a used Kool Glide off Facebook Marketplace for $340 from a guy in Fort Wayne. First stretch of Berber I ran with it came out flat and clean in about a third of the time, and I stopped cussing at tape that peeled up behind me. What's the one tool you bought that felt like too much money until the first job showed you it wasn't?
