Guy at the supply house in Tucson told me to quit kickin my knee kicker and use a stair tool on the last 2 feet
Was picking up tack strip last Tuesday and this old installer watched me wrestle a stretch in a hallway. He said the last 2 feet near the wall is where everybody cheats, and a stair tool gets it tight without wrecking the backing. Tried it on a 14 by 18 berber job the next day and the seam barely showed. My knees thanked me too. Anybody else use a stair tool for that last bit or am I late to this?
