The $1.50 bag of frozen veg at the Concord co-op beat my fancy farmers market haul
I used to be all in on the Saturday farmers market thing, dropping $60 on kale and heirloom carrots every week at the Concord one. Then back in March I got stuck late at work and grabbed a $1.50 bag of frozen mixed veg from the co-op on my way home, and honestly it cooked up just as good in my soup. Fresh is fine if you eat it in two days, but half my market haul was wilting in the crisper by Wednesday. So what's the actual argument for fresh if you're not cooking it the same day, has anyone found a veg that's really that much worse frozen?
