My uncle said my 1965 Mustang is just a lawn ornament, and I can't shake it
My uncle came by the house in Mesa last weekend and saw my 1965 Mustang sitting under a tarp in the driveway. He asked how long it had been since it actually ran, and when I said about two years, he just said "that's not a car, that's a lawn ornament" and walked inside. I laughed it off at first, but it's been bugging me all week because he's not wrong, I keep putting off the carb rebuild and telling myself I'll get to it. Now I'm wondering if I've been holding onto the idea of the car more than the car itself. Anybody else ever get called out like that and actually do something about it?
