Hit 2000 logged dive hours last month, numbers still feel weird

I passed 2000 hours on my logbook doing bridge inspection work off the Cape Fear River in Wilmington. Thought I'd feel more seasoned or something, but honestly it just showed me how much time I've spent in cold, dark water. The milestone mattered because my insurance premium finally dropped, which is the real win. Has anyone else had a dive count sneak up on them like that?

Man, congrats on the thousand-hour club, that's a solid chunk of time underwater! I hit my 1,500th hour doing pipeline work off the Texas coast and felt the same way, like the number was just a receipt for all the cold, boring days.
