Walked into a dead kitchen this Tuesday at 6am with a 400-degree error on the main oven...

The last guy had bypassed the safety limit switch with a paperclip, and the whole control board was melted into a puddle of plastic, took me 8 hours to find the right replacement part and get it swapped out before dinner service... has anyone else had a contractor or previous tech leave something like that behind that made your job way harder?
