Got stuck between two guys arguing about a seat on the 5 train and now I stand by the door
Riding the L from Jefferson Park into the Loop a couple weeks back, these two guys spent a solid 20 minutes yelling about whose bag was on whose seat while everyone just stared at their phones. I ended up missing my stop because I was wedged in the middle and couldn't get past them before the doors shut. Does anyone else just plant themselves by the door now to avoid getting trapped in other people's drama?
Man, the real trick is standing by the door on the side where the platform is, because half the time people crowd the wrong side and you can't get out either way. I've started checking which side the doors open on before I even sit down. It sounds dumb but it saves you from the whole mess.
