A tech at the Mesa shop told me to stop swapping power supplies and test the outlet first, and he saved me 3 callbacks
Two years back a guy named Ray at a shop in Mesa watched me haul a third PSU into a customer's house and just said 'check the wall, kid.' I rolled my eyes hard, but I ran a $12 outlet tester on that circuit and it showed an open neutral. The homeowner had a loose backstab on the receptacle the whole time, and I had already billed her for two power supplies that were perfectly fine. Now I keep that tester in my main bag. How many of you run a power check before you even open the case?
