My 100th movie review finally made me admit I was wrong about sequels

I hit my 100th logged movie on Letterboxd last night and it happened to be a sequel I'd been avoiding for years. Turns out it was actually better than the original and I only watched it because my buddy in Phoenix kept bugging me about it. That number made me realize I've been skipping tons of good sequels just because of a bad experience with one franchise back in 2019. Now I'm going back through my watchlist and giving all the ones I ignored a fair shot. Anyone else have a milestone like that flip their whole opinion on a genre or type of movie?
