Rewatched a 2004 rom-com I hated in theaters, now I think my 19 year old self was the problem

So I got dragged into watching 50 First Dates last weekend with my girlfriend. I remember seeing it back in 2004 and giving it like a 4/10. Thought Adam Sandler was just doing his usual schtick and the premise was dumb. But this time around I actually laughed out loud a few times and found the whole memory loss thing kinda sweet. My girlfriend was shocked I ever disliked it. Made me wonder if I was just in a bad mood back then or if my taste actually matured. Has anyone else gone back to something you rated badly years ago and totally flipped on it? Or the opposite, where you loved something as a teen and now it's unbearable? Which side do you trust more, the younger you or current you?
