Warning: drove 40 minutes to an Erie pawn shop for a $15 printer and the guy tried to sell me a whole desk instead
Friday I answered a listing for a small printer, drove 40 minutes to Erie, and when I got there the guy said the printer was "in the back" but kept pointing me toward a scratched up desk he wanted $120 for. After 20 minutes of him dodging the question I left with nothing and a half tank of gas gone, which is when it hit me that "in the back" is just code for "I don't have it." Does anyone actually score what they came for on these long drives, or is it always a desk?
