An old timer told me to stop spinning my load hook

He said I was twisting the cable and wearing it unevenly, so now I set my tagline before I even start swinging. Anyone else ever get schooled by a 30-year veteran about something you thought was fine?

Holy crap, wait - you were actually twisting your cable the whole time and didn't know? That's wild. I've been swinging for about 5 years now and I never even thought about that. That old timer probably saved you from having to replace your cable way earlier than normal. Now I'm over here questioning everything I do, haha.
