Had a bird's nest in my tower crane cab last Monday

Was up on the 12th floor of the new build in Tacoma. Opened the cab door and a robin flew right past my face. Found a whole nest tucked behind the seat, made of twigs and some old insulation tape. My foreman just laughed and said, 'Guess you got a new co-pilot.' Had to wait for it to leave, then carefully move the whole thing with gloves. Anyone ever had wildlife move in on their rig?

Wildlife just really hates paying rent, huh.

My buddy in Wyoming had a family of barn owls set up shop in his excavator cab. Took them weeks to move it all out.

Oh man, "set up shop in his excavator cab" is no joke! @josephc59, tell your buddy to try putting a bright shop light in there overnight. Owls hate that constant light and it makes them want to move out fast. We had to do that with a forklift once, and it cleared them out in a couple days instead of weeks. Just make sure the machine is off and safe, obviously.
