A random Reddit comment convinced me to stop outlining my endings

Someone posted that they write the last page first, then backtrack, and I spent 3 hours yesterday trying it on a prompt about a lighthouse keeper who finds a locked room. It felt backwards but the ending actually gave me a road map, has anyone else tried writing their endings before the middle?
