Serious question, my writing buddy said my prompt about a locked door was too open, so I tried adding one weird limit
She told me at our Tuesday meetup in Tampa that a prompt works better when it boxes you in, like "write a scene where a locked door can only be opened from the inside," so I tested it on my group and got 9 totally different stories from 9 people. What's the strangest small rule you've added to a prompt that somehow made everyone write better?
