I finally mapped every dead store at Rolling Acres after 8 trips, and the food court took 11 hours alone
Everyone says you can knock out a full dead mall walk in one afternoon, but that is just wrong for Rolling Acres in Akron. I spent 11 hours over 3 separate trips just on the food court because half the storefronts have no signage left and I kept second guessing which ones were original. My first pass missed 14 spots because I was rushing to beat the security guard's shift change at 4pm. Next time I'm bringing a folding stool so I can sit and sketch the ceiling tiles instead of guessing from hallway photos. Has anyone found a better way to verify old store layouts when the mall directory signs are gone?
