Had a guy at Market Basket tell me to check the clearance endcap first
Some older fella in the produce section told me he always hits the clearance endcap before anything else. Tried it last Tuesday and snagged a half-priced bag of coffee and some marked down bakery bread that was still fresh.

@craig.tessa yeah, most people walk right past it. The clearance endcap is usually tucked between the dairy section and the back wall, near the milk crates. Picked up a jar of Rao's marinara for three bucks last month, just because a twist-off cap was slightly dented. Also grabbed a pack of tortellini that was still good for three more days, got it for a dollar fifty. It's worth checking every visit cause stuff cycles through fast, especially bakery items and shelf-stable stuff that's just near the sell-by date.
