Am I the only one who thinks a $30 moisture meter saved my whole bathroom project?
Last month I was about to put new drywall over the studs around my tub in our place up in Thornton and figured the wood was fine since it felt dry to the touch. I grabbed the cheap meter I got at the hardware store and the reading on the bottom plate was 24 percent, so I pulled the rest of the wall and the whole corner was soft behind the tile. What reading do you all use as your cutoff before you hang board, or do you just go by feel like I almost did?
