Can we talk about how much heat sinks matter for PS5 SSD mods?

I put a cheaper heat sink on my PS5 SSD swap last month and after a 2 hour gaming session my temps hit 80 C. A buddy on here told me to swap to the Sabrent one with the aluminum fins and now I barely hit 60 C. Anyone else find that heat sinks make or break a console mod like this?

Did you ever think those cheap ones were a waste of money too? I used to until I tried it myself.

lol yeah exactly @amyh21 my buddy mark was the same way. he swore by the expensive brand for years, spent like $60 every time. then his wife bought the cheap ones from the grocery store by accident. he was so annoyed but he tried them anyway cause he didnt wanna waste food. now hes like "why did i ever pay that much" and buys them all the time. i swear its the same damn thing just with different packaging. companies know people get attached to a name brand and they take advantage of it. mark still makes jokes about it when we see the price difference at the store.
