Careful with cheap thermal pads on PS5 SSD swaps

Tbh I hit up a retro game expo in Denver last weekend and some guy was selling knockoff thermal pad kits for PS5 SSD installs. I grabbed one for 8 bucks, slapped it in, and now my console idles at 60C in a cool room. That's way hotter than the 45C I got with the proper pad from a known brand. Turns out the cheap stuff crumbles after a week, at least in my experience. The seller said they came from a bulk lot out of a warehouse in Arizona, no real specs on the box. Has anyone else seen these mystery pads at conventions, or is this just a Denver thing?
