My $40 butcher block top warped after one humid week in Nashville
I grabbed a cheap birch block from a local lumber yard last month, sealed it with three coats of poly, and thought I was set. Then we hit a week of 90% humidity and the edge lifted a good quarter inch off my frame. I'm guessing I didn't let the sealer cure long enough between coats, but has anyone else had luck with a different finish or a metal C-channel to keep these budget tops flat?
