Used to swap phone screens in 15 minutes, now I spend 45 easy

Back when I had an iPhone 6 everything was screws and a heat gun, now these modern phones have all that adhesive layered like a lasagna. Anyone else feel like repairs got way harder after 2017 or is it just me?

The extra adhesive makes phones more waterproof and durable, so it's a tradeoff worth dealing with.

A heat gun on low for like 20 seconds made prying the screen off way easier for me.
