Tried a different way to strip 12/2 in a tight spot last week

Used my linesman pliers to score and snap the sheathing instead of my knife, and it was way cleaner and faster. Anyone have a better trick for old work boxes with no slack?

Remember my buddy who used his teeth once, that was a bad idea.

My old foreman taught me to use a keyhole saw on that tough Romex jacket. The fine teeth zip right through without nicking the wires inside. It sounds weird but it works better than any pliers I've tried.

Is that really easier than just using a utility knife? Sounds like bringing a saw to a simple stripping job.
