Actually raised my rates after a client told me I was too cheap
A regular client in Denver flat out said 'you're underselling yourself' and showed me what other freelancers charge. Now I make $15 more an hour and still have plenty of work. Has anyone else gotten more pushback from themselves than from clients on pricing?

Honestly, that's awesome that you listened to them. A friend of mine did design work for almost nothing until a client basically showed her the same thing. She doubled her rate and actually got more respect from everyone after that.

Yeah, the "more respect" part is huge. I had a similar thing happen with my freelance writing. I was charging $50 for blog posts and felt like clients were always asking for endless revisions. I bumped it up to $150 and suddenly they'd send me a single note like "looks good" and pay on time. It's like they decided my work had value once I did. The weirdest part was I started getting referred to their friends as "the expensive writer" which honestly sounded way better than "the cheap one.
