I've seen a lot of folks around here cutting the tops off their oak trees to make them smaller. It looks bad and hurts the trees in the long run. The big oak on Elm Street got topped last week and now it's just a bunch of stubs. This practice can lead to decay and weak growth, which we all know as arborists. Trees need their crowns to stay healthy and strong. If people want smaller trees, they should plant the right kind from the start. It's frustrating to watch this happen over and over without any advice being given.
A tidy tool space makes morning rounds so much easier.
Had a job last month where the inspection team took FOUR days to show up. We were all suited up and ready, just twiddling our thumbs on deck. The client was mad, the crew was bored, and the whole schedule blew up. Now I factor in a full week of buffer time for any outside checks. It's just how it IS.
