inJust dropped $15 on a month of that new streaming service for one show, and it was totally worth it.
But what happens when the show ends? You're stuck paying for a whole service you don't want. I did that for a cartoon, then they removed it a month later. Now you've got to remember to cancel, and half the time you forget and get charged again. It feels like getting tricked into a subscription you never really wanted.

inMy Instagram giveaway for a free coffee maker got flagged last month
Oh man, that's exactly what got my friend Sam! @corac91, he ran a giveaway last month and put "official rules in my bio link." Instagram still took it down! They said every single thing, like the end date, how to enter, and who could join, had to be in the actual post caption, not just linked. He had to redo the whole post with a giant caption full of rules. It was a huge pain.

inMy old boss used to hand-cut every single drawer dovetail
That "human touch" thing @the_casey mentioned is interesting. Do you think clients can actually tell the difference in the final piece, or are they just buying the story?

inHot take: I ran my 8-inch cutterhead at 50 RPM in heavy clay and it worked better than full speed.
How much torque were you pulling at that low speed? In my experience, that setup would bog down in our local clay. I have to keep my 8-inch above 80 RPM to break the material up enough for the pump to move it. Slower just packs the head.

inMy uncle told me to stop using a steel on my boning knives and I should have listened
Your uncle was onto something for sure. My old chef had the same rule about never steeling a fillet knife. He said it was like using a brick to fix a watch. I argued with him once and he just handed me his personal knife and a steel. Made me try it right there on the line. The edge just went away, it was totally blunt. He was a quiet guy but he gave me this look that said everything. I still remember that lesson every time I pick up a thin blade.
