A guy at the trailhead convinced me to ditch my sway bar disconnect idea

Honestly, I spent two seasons trying to make electronic sway bar disconnects work on my old Jeep. Kept blowing fuses and the motor would fail in mud every single time. Last month at the Rattlesnake Canyon trailhead, a guy with a beat-up TJ watched me fiddle with the wiring and just said, 'Why not run manual pins? Costs you $30 and 10 minutes.' I laughed it off at first, but then he showed me his setup in the parking lot. No electrics, just two stainless pins and cotter keys. Tbh, I ordered the manual kit that night and swapped my front bar out in my driveway last Saturday. Took one trip up a rocky climb near Flagstaff to realize he was right, no lag, no failure mode.
