I stopped buying lift kits by height and started measuring my actual clearance at the diff, and it fixed my rubbing
I kept going taller on my Tacoma because 33s rubbed at full lock, and after swapping in a 3 inch kit I was still catching the inner fender liner. Turned out my problem was wheel backspacing, not lift height, and a set of +4 offset wheels with the factory springs cleared everything. Anyone else chase lift height when the real fix was the wheels?
