Why does nobody talk about chasing a death wobble through three parts and two weeks
Picked up a nasty shake on my TJ around 45 mph after I put on 33s last spring. I figured it was the track bar, swapped it in an afternoon, and the shake was still there. Then I threw a new steering stabilizer at it because that was easy, and that just hid the problem for about 300 miles. Turned out to be worn out unit bearings up front plus a sloppy tie rod end I kept missing on my driveway checks. Two weeks of guessing and about $340 in parts later, a $60 alignment shop visit and a buddy wiggling the wheel while I watched the front end finally nailed it. What is your go to way to track down front end slop without just throwing parts at it?
