Hit 500 image generations in Stable Diffusion and still surprised by the random wins

I started messing with Stable Diffusion about two months ago for fun. Last week I hit 500 generations and looked back at my favorites. Only about 20 of them were actually good enough to save. It made me realize most of the time you just have to keep hitting generate and see what sticks. Has anyone else noticed a similar hit rate with these AI image tools?

That pretty much describes every creative project I've ever done.

Sounds about right. You know a project is going well when you're only panicking twice a week instead of daily. The fun part is when you finish something, look at it, and immediately start planning the redesign in your head. Nothing like the old "I made this thing but now I hate it" dance. Gets me every single time. At least we're all in the same leaky boat together.
