Rant: My boss made me rewrite 12 AI prompts because I said "utilize" once
Last Tuesday, my manager flagged my chatbot training doc. Said my prompts were too wordy. "You keep using fancy words like 'utilize' and 'facilitate'." Told me to speak like a normal person. I rewrote everything. Tested it. The AI actually gave better answers. Shorter queries, cleaner outputs. Who knew? Has anyone else had their writing style totally wrecked by feedback that actually worked?

Did anyone else resist this kind of feedback at first? I used to pride myself on my writing, thought big words made me sound smart. But then I had a similar experience a few years back. A coworker told me my emails were too complicated. I changed my style to be more direct, and suddenly people actually read what I wrote. It was humbling, but it worked. Now I tell everyone that simple words get better results. Still stings a little when someone corrects my word choice, but the proof is in the output.
