My air fryer basket coating started peeling after 8 months

I was making chicken wings last Wednesday and noticed little black flakes all over the food. Turned out the nonstick coating on my basket was peeling off in chunks. I had to throw the whole batch away and dig out my old oven tray to finish cooking. Has anyone else had their air fryer basket coating fail on them? What did you switch to?

Tbh I switched to a silicone liner after mine started flaking. Game changer honestly, just toss it in the dishwasher after and no more mystery flakes in my fries.

Yeah the flaking thing is such a nightmare. My old tray started shedding little black specks into everything and I didn't even notice until I found a piece in my eggs one morning. Switched to silicone last month and it's way less stressful honestly. Just throw it in the dishwasher and done. No scrubbing, no worrying about scratches, no random bits in your food. Kind of wish I did it sooner but better late than never.
