My carrot top chips turned into kitchen confetti

Tried to be sustainable and air fry leftover carrot greens. They just blew around inside the fryer. Now I have green bits all over my counter.

Were they just too thin to survive in there?

Why did I think carrot greens would crisp up like kale? I used to believe all leafy bits could be rescued in the air fryer, but yours turning to confetti shows they're just too light and stemmy. Guess some things are better for the compost than trying to make them into a chip.

But what if you coated them lightly in oil first? I save carrot tops by mixing them with heartier stuff, like tossing them with a handful of chickpeas or thin carrot rounds. The extra weight stops the flying confetti problem. They won't become kale chips, but they get a nice texture, kind of like herby bits. It turns waste into a fun topping for soups or salads. Seems better than just binning them.
