Dropped $60 on a pair of safety wire pliers from the tool truck and they slipped on the first job
Bought a set from the Snap-on guy at the shop in Wichita for $60 because he swore they'd grip better than my old Milbar. First safety wire job on a 737 landing gear and the jaws slipped twice, twisted the wire into a birdnest. Ended up pulling my 12 year old pair back out of the box. Anyone got a brand that actually holds tension without costing half a paycheck?

That "grip better" pitch got me too, until I learned the cheap ones just need a jaw reset.
