Hit 10,000 flight hours on Tuesday and it hit me different

I was doing a post-flight inspection on a 737 in Denver when my logbook hit exactly 10,000 hours. That number surprised me because I started as a line mechanic in 2008 and never thought I'd see that many hours of work. Anyone else hit a milestone that made you stop and think about how long you've been doing this?

Totally agree, hitting those big round numbers really grabs your attention! I was doing paperwork after a night shift and saw I crossed 9,500 hours last month, had to stop and just think about all the overtime and weekend calls that added up to it. It's wild how the hours sneak up on you when you're just doing your job every day.

That's a huge number. Hit 8k last year and just sat in the break room for a minute staring at the wall. Made me realize how many early mornings and late nights got me there.
