Question about what I saw at a hangar in Wichita: 3 planes parked with no intake plugs
Walked through a hangar at a field outside Wichita on Saturday and three parked singles all had open intakes. No plugs, no covers, just wide open. Birds get in there and nest fast, and one of these had a mud dauber starting up inside the cowl. If that stuff gets pulled into the engine on start, it will cost you way more than a set of plugs. Who here keeps spare intake plugs in their truck just in case?
