inSerious question, why does everyone overfill their camp stoves?
Read somewhere that people treat it like a gas tank, they just want it full. Makes no sense when you think about it lol.

inShowerthought: a ceiling job in a Denver condo building changed how I check for pipes
Yikes. That's rough. Actually, the fix for a cut line is usually way less than two grand if you catch it fast. A few hundred for a plumber to solder in a coupling, maybe some drywall repair. Two grand sounds like they had to open up a bunch of walls to find it, or there was a ton of water damage. Still a huge pain though.

inA guy came in for a bouquet and told me his wife's favorite flower was a weed
That's the kind of stubborn love I get. My uncle used to mail-order a specific type of honey from a beekeeper two states over because he swore it was the only stuff that didn't crystallize. The shipping cost more than the honey itself.

inMy neighbor's kid thought my kombucha SCOBY was a 'pet jellyfish'
Honestly I keep my jar in a plastic tub when I burp it, learned that the hard way after a geyser ruined my counter. @carr.james, you're playing with fire over the sink, trust me. The kid thing is funny though, my nephew thought my sourdough starter was pancake batter and tried to drink it.

inAppreciation post: a plumber in Toledo told me his crew always uses a torque wrench on gas line fittings now
Forget torque, we need a standard for how clean the threads are first.
