That choice between safety wire pliers and the old needle nose method on a 737 engine

Last Tuesday I was doing a safety wire job on a Pratt & Whitney engine, and I had to decide if I should grab the expensive safety wire pliers from the drawer or just use my trusty needle nose pliers like I've done for years. I went with the needle nose because I was in a hurry, and honestly I regret it. My fingers got super cramped after the first few holes, and the tension wasn't consistent across all the bolts. Has anyone else found that the pliers are actually worth the hassle for big jobs like this?

Why would you waste money on pliers when needle nose gives you more feel for the tension?

Wait you think needle nose gives better feel than the pliers @andrew854?
