I thought zone labels on a panel were a waste of time until a 3am call in Bend proved me wrong
For years I skipped labeling zones because most homeowners never touch the keypad anyway, so why bother. Then a customer in Bend called me at 3am because her alarm kept going off and she had no idea which door was setting it off. I drove 40 minutes in the dark and spent 25 minutes walking the whole house with a meter because nothing was marked. Now I label every zone with a label maker before I leave, even on the cheap jobs. Anyone else got a job that finally made them change a habit they'd been skipping for years?
