Actually, the trick is picking sensors with good adjustment settings from the start. I tweak mine maybe twice a year for big seasonal light changes. You totally can get it just right and have it stay that way.

You said "just right" but idk if that's really a thing with motion sensors. I mean my patio one gets perfect for a week, then the sun changes angle and it's missing people or the neighbor's cat sets it off. Maybe aiming for "mostly works" is better than perfect, since conditions always change.
