Hit 200 records cleaned on my old Spin-Clean and did the math on what that means
I bought my Spin-Clean record washer back in 2019 from a guy in Portland who was getting out of vinyl. When I cleaned my 200th record this past Sunday, I sat down and figured out that is roughly 40 hours of my life spent manually spinning LPs through those brushes. The first 50 were all my dad's old jazz records and they were so filthy the water looked like chocolate milk after two passes. Now I can do a batch of 5 in about 12 minutes if I don't get distracted by what is playing. What surprised me is how many people at the local shop still tell me to just use a carbon brush and call it good. Does anyone else track how many records they have cleaned or is that just me being weird about numbers?
