My 1978 Marantz receiver started humming during side B of a Goodwill record
I picked up a 1978 Marantz 2230 at a garage sale in Tulsa for $60 about two weeks ago and it worked fine until Tuesday night, when a loud hum kicked in about halfway through side B of a Barbara Mandrell record. I opened it up, found one bulging filter cap near the power supply, and for now I just unplugged it and set it on the workbench instead of risking the outputs. Should I replace just that one cap or go ahead and swap all four while the case is already open?
