Took me three days to figure out why my turntable was humming...

I replaced the belt, adjusted the tracking force, even bought a new preamp, only to realize the hum was coming from my LED desk lamp being two feet away, has anyone else chased a phantom noise that long?

A desk lamp, really? You win the award for most expensive troubleshooting for a $20 problem.

You win the award for most expensive troubleshooting" - okay but sometimes you gotta spend money to save your sanity. A desk lamp might cost more than a bulb swap, but if it fixes the problem and looks good doing it, that's a win in my book.
