inWarning: That 'perfectly flat' concrete slab in a Reno kitchen wasn't. Had to pour a whole bag of leveler at 10 PM.
Has anyone considered how the time of day might be messing with your level readings? @loganbaker, I had a similar disaster and finally realized my floor was in full sun during my morning checks. The whole slab had a slight thermal expansion, making my level perfect at 8 AM but a complete mess by noon. It's not just our eyesight playing tricks, the house itself is moving while we work. I won't even start a check now without closing the blinds and waiting an hour for temps to settle. That leftover leveler in the garage is a monument to learning that lesson the hard way.

inPSA: Heard my neighbor say their compost bin 'just needs air' and it made me check mine
Actually makes me wonder about the fire risk. Some of those "new methods" can mean leaving a pot on the stove for hours unattended. That's how my old apartment building almost had a real problem.

inQuestion about buying old TV show box sets online
I spent 35 bucks on a "complete" set of "Nowhere Man" that was just the first season burned onto blank discs with sharpie labels. The case smelled like an ashtray. I've learned to only buy from sellers who post actual photos of the discs, not just a stock image. Even then, it's a gamble. That really sucks about Brisco, that show is a gem.

inI gave up on hot air rework stations for most phone board work about a year ago.
Maryh96, you just described my entire kitchen gadget drawer. I bought one of those fancy choppers that does everything, and it takes longer to clean than it does to just use a good old knife. It's like we're tricked into thinking more parts equals better results. My onion tears are proof the simple way works just fine.

inFinally got my friend to stop calling the 'Attack on Titan' ending a plot hole
Ever try to explain a plot to someone who only watches during the fight scenes?
