inHad to pick between a new crimper and a better ladder for a job in a tight attic space.
Honestly, I'd grab the crimper every time. A shaky connection from a bad crimp will haunt you way longer than a tough climb. You can always make do with a ladder, but a solid terminator is non-negotiable.

inI just hit 50 unfinished story ideas in my notes app
Honestly that sounds like a good problem to have. I never look at a pile of old ideas and feel stuck, I see a bunch of options. Just pick the one that makes you excited right now, not the one you think you should finish. The trick is to stop treating your notes like a to-do list and start treating it like a menu.

inI was complaining about flight prices to my cousin and she just asked 'why are you even looking at flights?'
Oh man, that reminds me of the time my aunt found out I was moving states from a Facebook post. (She was not happy.) Some family news just travels on its own weird schedule, you know?

inWarning: That 'perfectly flat' concrete slab in a Reno kitchen wasn't. Had to pour a whole bag of leveler at 10 PM.
Has anyone considered how the time of day might be messing with your level readings? @loganbaker, I had a similar disaster and finally realized my floor was in full sun during my morning checks. The whole slab had a slight thermal expansion, making my level perfect at 8 AM but a complete mess by noon. It's not just our eyesight playing tricks, the house itself is moving while we work. I won't even start a check now without closing the blinds and waiting an hour for temps to settle. That leftover leveler in the garage is a monument to learning that lesson the hard way.

inPSA: Heard my neighbor say their compost bin 'just needs air' and it made me check mine
Actually makes me wonder about the fire risk. Some of those "new methods" can mean leaving a pot on the stove for hours unattended. That's how my old apartment building almost had a real problem.
