The bokashi bran I doubted for 6 weeks finally won me over
Got a 2 pound bag of bokashi bran from a shop in Portland for $18 and figured it was snake oil. After 6 weeks of tossing scraps in a 5 gallon bucket, the stuff actually broke down a whole watermelon rind without a single smell. The secret was pressing it flat and draining the liquid every 3 days, which I hated doing at first. Anybody else tried bokashi and found it works better once you stop babying it?
