Finally swapped out my old analog meter for a Klein Tools MM600 and the difference is night and day.
The auto-ranging and backlit display saved me at least 15 minutes on a fridge compressor diagnosis this morning. What's the one tool upgrade that's made your job noticeably faster?

My dad's old Simpson 260 from the 70s still picks up motor brush noise that my newer Fluke just shows as clean DC... that needle jitter tells you everything.

I still keep my old Fluke 77 on the truck. For chasing down a parasitic draw or checking a flickering voltage, that analog needle shows you things a digital screen just misses. The smooth sweep tells a better story than numbers jumping around. Sometimes the old way is just faster for the real problem.

I get the love for old gear but man, digital is just fine for 99% of jobs. That needle is cool until you're squinting at it in a dark bay. The new stuff gets the job done fast too.
