Old Frigidaire service manual had a part number I never heard of
Found a 1984 Frigidaire service manual in a basement cleanout last Tuesday. Leafing through it and spotted a part number for the relay that looked totally foreign. Turns out my go-to supplier still lists it, just under a different code from the 2010 renumbering. Had to cross reference three databases to figure it out. Anyone else run into parts that vanished from the old numbering system and feel like you need a decoder ring?

Yeah the old numbering is a mess. Best thing I did was save every cross reference chart I could find and dump them all into one spreadsheet, so now when I hit a part number that looks like gibberish I just ctrl+F it. Suppliers don't always keep the old codes linked either, so you end up bouncing between their site, an old paper catalog, and some forum thread from 2009 to make it match. If you can find the original manufacturer number and not the Frigidaire label, that usually cross references way easier since the OEM kept using it after the renumbering. Worth keeping that manual too, half the web stuff for these old units is wrong or dead links.
